Our predecessor Endoxon delivered core technology for Google Maps and was acquired by Google in 2006. Leveraging the related expertise within real-time navigation and location-based marketing, Axon Vibe today partners with renowned public transport operators and authorities to grow public transport usage, achieve carbon emission reduction and support the economic recovery with innovative business models.

Founded in 2014, we are a 100+ team of highly qualified and passionate software engineers, data scientists, location analytics experts, psychologists and communication specialists on our journey from location analytics to behaviour change.

Axon Vibe powers Deutsche Bahn’s check-in/be-out ticketing solutions in the regions of Rhein-Neckar (Tickin App), Rheinland-Pfalz Nord, Rhein-Mosel and Trier (TiMo App), Greater Nuremberg (egon App) and North Rhine-Wetphalia (Ticket NRW App).

MTA New York is the largest public transit authority in North America.

In March 2024 the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has launched the new official MTA app, which is developed through a partnership between MTA New York and Axon Vibe.

JR East is the largest public transport operator worldwide.

The TokyoNudge App includes contextual campaigns to reward loyal passengers, sweeten disruptions and reward behavior change with valuable rewards from Beck’s Coffee Shop, NewDays and Station Work.

OUR SWISS HEADQUARTERS

We are headquartered in a castle overlooking the picturesque city of Lucerne. Our global team meets here for bi-annual get togethers including BBQs, mountain walks and more.

Stefan Muff

CHAIRMAN AND FOUNDER

Stefan founded the Axon Group in 2007 and launched the startup Axon Vibe in 2014. He previously founded mapping solution company Endoxon that was acquired by Google Inc. An avid sailor and part-time beekeeper, Stefan is proud to call Lucerne his home.

Dr. Uli Sigg

BOARD MEMBER

Uli has been a board member at Axon Vibe since 2008. His investments focus on early stage and growth stage companies mainly in Europe and China. His portfolio includes activities in the medical devices, IT/Internet, green technologies, industrials and financial services sector. Outside of the corporate world, Uli is a passionate art collector with the largest collection of Chinese contemporary art.

Roman Oberli

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Chief to Axon Vibe, thought leader in the field of spatial analysis to his peers and serial entrepreneur by nature, Roman heads the Axon Vibe product vision and development process. He is a Big Data specialist with extensive experience in start up ventures, known to be a true visionary and caring father of two.

Kilian Ulm

CHIEF BUSINESS OFFICER

Kilian is a dedicated international business development professional with entrepreneurial spirit and skills. He is an engineer by education (ETH Zurich) with work experience ranging from innovative start-up ventures to large multinational corporations. In between business calls and travel, you’ll most likely find Kilian kitesurfing crystal clear waters or skiing off one of Switzerland’s majestic mountains.

Luca Scheuring

CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Heading our product development, Luca is dedicated to turn Axon Vibe's vision of seamless mobility into innovative solutions. He holds a Master's degree in Business IT from the University of Zurich and has extensive experience as software engineer and product manager in the ICT industry. Luca is a self-confessed geek and loves all kind of technology, whilst at the same time he enjoys the analog life by hiking up or snowboarding down the Swiss mountains.

David Jonietz

CHIEF ANALYTICS OFFICER

As head of data analytics within Axon Vibe, David drives the development of innovative data science solutions at scale. He holds a Doctoral degree in Geoinformatics, and has extensive experience as a Machine Learning engineer and manager of diverse, globally-distributed data science teams. Outside of work, you will likely find him hiking in the Swiss mountains.

Boris Matz

MANAGING DIRECTOR, NORTH AMERICA

Boris is passionate about bringing new, data-centric technologies to market and leads Axon Vibe’s North American expansion. Boris’ prior work experience includes operating an NYC-based SaaS startup and advising numerous data and information companies on a range of strategic and financial matters, both as a consultant and an investment banker. Outside of work, Boris spends his time with his wife chasing their two young kids around Brooklyn, New York.

Jeremy Acklam

MANAGING DIRECTOR, UNITED KINGDOM

Leading our expansion in the UK, Jeremy's entrepreneurial experience includes the creation and launch of Trainline for Richard Branson, the UK's Government-funded NFC travelcard (ITSO) and an Account-Based-Ticketing startup sold to Virgin. Jeremy has also led Transport for the North’s Smart Travel Team and is passionate about mass-adoption of ground-breaking technology in the transport sector to benefit customers and society. Away from work, Jeremy leads a Theatre in Cheshire.
